To support a respectful, distraction-free, and unified school environment, all students of Providence Christian Academy DE are expected to adhere to the following dress code:
Daily Uniform Requirements
Shirts:
- Black polo shirts
- Any PCA spirit wear shirt (including shirts from PCA MD)
Jackets, Hoodies, and Sweatshirts (In-Classroom):
- Plain black jackets may be worn in the classroom
- Hoodies must be either plain black or official PCA spirit wear hoodies/sweatshirts
- A small white logo is acceptable but must be discreet and minimal
Pants and Bottoms:
- Uniform-style pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, jumpers, or capris
- Must be black or khaki in color
- For modesty, it is recommended that girls wearing skirts also wear shorts or leggings underneath
Shoes:
- No wheelies, backless shoes, or sandals without straps
Spirit Fridays
Each Friday, students may participate in Spirit Wear Day with the following options:
- Jeans, black sweatpants, or grey sweatpants (in place of uniform bottoms)
- Girls may wear black leggings only if worn with a PCA spirit wear shirt that fully covers the buttocks
Physical Education Attire
All students are required to purchase a PCA DE gym uniform.
- Lower School Students may wear the gym uniform for the entire school day on their scheduled gym day
- Upper School Students must change into their gym uniform at the beginning of PE class
Gym Uniform Includes:
- Grey PCA gym shirt
- Black PCA gym shorts
- In cooler weather, black sweatpants may be worn if they were not worn to school earlier that day
Non-Compliance with Dress Code
If a student arrives at school out of uniform:
- A parent/guardian will be contacted
- The parent must either bring appropriate clothing or pick up the student
- If proper attire is not brought, the student will be dismissed with an unexcused absence for the remainder of the day
